Potato Derby

For Combined Young men and Young Women's this month the boys planned a Potato Derby.

Each youth could choose a potato 4 wheels, 4 washers and 4 nails.

This is to put the wheel into the potato.

Their genius minds then went to work designing a potatoes car.

A long banquet table had been propped up at an angle to provide a ramp.

The potatoes were then released,

the potato that traveled the farthest wins.

WE would mark the distance with piece of tape.

The kids even learned they could try adding weight to see if their potato would travel farther.

It was great fun.  The youth really came up with some fun creative potato cars.
